Weather clearing but chance of thunderstorms remains

This weekend’s weather may provide an opportunity to do your washing after the week’s rainfall.

THERE might be a chance to hang out some washing this weekend, but residents should keep an eye on the clothes line, as the Bureau of Meteorology warns there is still a chance for some thunderstorms.

"It is thankfully sunnier than it has been which will be nice if sun is what you're looking for," said BoM forecaster Rosa Hoff.

"It's certainly been great to have some rainfall around the region, it was much needed.

"But there is going to be some showers and storms around on the weekend."

Ms Hoff said there was the chance for thunderstorms carrying some heavy rainfall today and tomorrow.

"It's becoming less and less likely but we could get some isolated higher totals," she said.

"There is a better chance of seeing some sun.

"The best chance of storms will be for late morning into the afternoon over the weekend."
