Visit Willy Wonka, Golden Ticket up for grabs at Grand Central these holidays

A daily Golden Ticket is up for grabs at Grand Central, as Willy Wonka arrives a the centre with him Oompa Loompas, opening a Candy Village for children.

These school holidays Grand Central welcomes the Candy Academy for children to enjoy the sweet side of life.

Inspired by Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, The Candy Academy will take children on a

journey though a village filled with oversized candy, where they will be greeted by Oompa Loompas as they make their way to create a sweet treat in their own take home hat and apron.

Grand Central marketing executive Sara Reimers said she was thrilled to welcome the academy from now until Sunday, April 18.

“It will delight children of all ages, with Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompas greeting you at the golden gates to take you inside the village,” she said.

“Once children have made their sweet treat, they can keep exploring through to meet Willy

Wonka in his famous chocolate boat.”

Ms Reimers said with a different sweet treat to be made each day including doughnut decorating,

Tiny Teddy racing cars, Gummy Bear swimming pool biscuits, children can visit again and

again.

“We are conscious however of the uncertain situation at the moment around COVID-19, so we

do encourage our customers when visiting to actively socially distance, use thea sanitisation

points available, wear a mask and please be kind to each other,” she said.

“Most importantly, if you are feeling unwell, we ask that you stay at home.”

Entry is $5 per person.

There is also a chance to win a daily Golden Ticket prize, a $100 Grand Central Gift Card, during the month of April.

Make a purchase of $30 or more in one transaction at any cafe, food court or restaurant until Friday, April 30 and enter the daily draw using the QR code at any participating store or online for your chance to win.
