Toowoomba’s wet streak comes to an end

There’s no rainfall forecast for the coming week, but temperatures will still sit above average.

TOOWOOMBA’S wet weather streak is over according to the Bureau of Meteorology, after the city received 44mm of rain last week.

Up to 38mm of rain fell over Toowoomba at the weekend, with Oakey receiving 22mm over the weekend and 81mm for the week, and Crows Nest receiving 29mm at the weekend and 51mm for the week.

According to BOM meteorologist Alex Majchrowski, temperatures will be sitting at 2-4 degrees above average, but Toowoomba residents will get some relief from the muggy weather.

“You’ve seen the end for the rain for Toowoomba for the next week, we’ve got some dry air that’s come through,” Mr Majchrowski said.

“Luckily with the dry air coming through it will be less humid, but there will be less rainfall.

“Temperatures will be sticking around that 30 degree mark for the rest of the week.”
