Toowoomba’s best schools revealed in Better Education analysis

Toowoomba’s best primary and secondary schools have been ranked by an independent education website, with several nearing perfect scores. Details here.

The top Toowoomba primary and secondary schools have been declared based on their Year 5 and 9 NAPLAN results in 2021.

Independent website Better Education tallied and ranked schools on a state overall score level of 60-100 based on the year level results, with some Toowoomba schools nearing a perfect score.

In the primary sector, Toowoomba Anglican College placed first, with a score of 99, and a better education percentile placing the school in the top two per cent in the state.

The school previously ranked first for its NAPLAN results released earlier this year, with a primary total score of 1007.8.

Toowoomba Grammar School placed second followed closely behind by Fairholme College.

Fairholme College ranked first as the top Toowoomba secondary school, based on its Year 9 NAPLAN results from 2021, with a score of 98.

Fairholme College Year 10 students Jordi Chesterfield, Olivia Clark, Haylee Crouch, Kayla Horncy, Grace James and Lizzie Janetzki were among the secondary students to record top performing NAPLAN results, placing the school in top spot for the district.
