Toowoomba’s best food spots honoured with award

The AGFG Reader’s Choice Award winners have been revealed, acknowledging some of Toowoomba’s best restaurants.

THE winners of the Australian Good Food Guide Reader's Choice Awards have been announced, with seven Toowoomba businesses taking home a title.

The Readers' Choice Awards themselves are an opportunity for the Australian public to take the reins by voting for their favourite establishments around the country.

Vacy Hall was just one of the winners of the Reader's Choice Awards, with owner and host, Graham Higgins, saying it was the third time the establishment had won.

"We're always chuffed when people say we do what we do well," Mr Higgins said.

"There's no greater praise than having your guests recognise you."

The award is a first for Qi'Lin Oriental Cuisine, and owner Annette Cheung said she and her husband, head chef Stanley Poon, were very excited.

"I feel very surprised, we don't expect it to happen, but it's very exciting, a very good surprise," Ms Cheung said.

"I think we provided consistence of good service, and we care about our customers, and we provide the best quality of food."
