TOOWOOMBA was rattled by a large thunderstorm in the early hours of Tuesday, bringing more rain to the region.
The slow-moving storm developed in the Central Downs and made its way east, bringing thunder, lightning and rain.
The Toowoomba Airport recorded 4.8mm, but other parts of the region received more significant falls.
Ma Ma Creek picked up 41mm, while Jondaryan and Flagstone received 27mm.
Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Lauren Pattie said more rain was forecast for the region, continuing into next week.
"Today there are more showers and storms about later in the afternoon, but the southeast and on the Range are in for a better chance," Ms Pattie said.
"But on Wednesday and Thursday the trough that's sitting on the Range moves westwards, but that activity will be more isolated.
"They (showers) will be quite patchy in terms of the rainfall amount, but some people could get 20-30mm or even 40mm with a storm."
