Toowoomba crash: Two people taken to hospital with minor injuries after car crashes into tree in Harlaxton

The occupants of a car that was destroyed when it crashed into a tree in Toowoomba have escaped without serious injuries.

Two people have miraculously escaped serious injuries after the car they were in crashed into a tree in Toowoomba’s northern suburbs on Monday night.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Griffiths Street in Harlaxton just after 8pm and arrived to find the car wrapped around the tree.

The two occupants, who are believed to be a young man and woman, did not need to be freed and were treated for back pain.

The pair were taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

Police have been contacted regarding an investigation into the incident.
