The Fabulous Caprettos concert that was due to be held at Rumours International on Friday has been postponed due to the escalating Covid-19 outbreak in Victoria.

Venue owner Jim Aspromourgos apologised for the delay and said there was no way to guarantee all members of the super group would be able to cross into Queensland.

“The bare face is that this is a Covid postponement due to interstate border restrictions.” he said.

The Fabulous Caprettos consists of veteran rocker Daryl Braithwaite, Thirsty Merc frontman Rai Thistlethwayte, Southern Sons singer Jack Jones and Russell Morris, best known for the song The Real Thing.

The concert has been pushed back to July 2.

Mr Aspromourgos said all current ticket holders would be transferred to the new date.

He also offered a full refund to anyone who cannot attend on the new date.

“For any refund information contact the venue or ticket agency,” Mr Aspromourgos said.
