AFTER a 10-week hiatus, the Tatts Hotel is returning to the Toowoomba dining scene - albeit for takeaway only.
Hotel owner John Clarkson said he would be reopening next Wednesday to offer a limited menu "that captures all the classic favourites".
"Some of the very popular items that people are missing seem to be the chicken parmigianas and chicken and mushroom crepes and those sorts of things," he said.
\Mr Clarkson said his business had a number of people on the JobKeeper program and the down time had enabled them to give the hotel a "spring clean", but he was looking forward to getting his team back together in one location.
"We're looking forward to seeing some of our regular customers again," he said.
Tatts Hotel will be open for takeaway meals from Wednesday to Friday for lunch and dinner, 11.30am-2pm and 5.30pm to 8pm.
Mr Clarkson said despite restrictions easing and now allowing for up to 10 people to dine-in, doing so wasn't yet a viable option for Tatts.
He congratulated those able to make it work, but described the limit placed on hotels and clubs as "particularly ridiculous when there are so many other businesses allowed to have 10 times this number on their premises without the compliance we are required to adhere to as a hospitality business with such large spaces".
