A Toowoomba woman has wowed judges at a Queensland bodybuilding competition, placing in all four sports model categories she entered.

Tamlyn Wolfenden entered the 2020 ICN QLD Brisbane Classic and placed third in the Sports Model Mums Under 38 and Sports Model 30 Plus, placed fourth in the Sports Model First Timers and placed fifth in the Ms Street Model.

She said she was blown away at how they day went.

“I feel very excited to have placed in every category that I entered,” she said.

“There were some amazing physiques competing and to be up on the podium receiving a trophy in every class at my first fitness competition was an amazing experience.”

What makes Ms Wolfenden’s achievement a feat to be celebrated is that like many people she is having a rough 2020 and has faced hurdles that are keeping her from staying fit.

Two years ago, after having her third child, she decided to transform her body and lost 25kg, but in recent times she had found it hard to maintain the level of fitness she was used to.

This year Ms Wolfenden has dealt with ongoing family sickness and her husband was forced to remain on the opposite end of the country for almost four months leaving her to raise three children as a full-time solo parent.

About 15 weeks ago she began training with competition prep coach Kerry Rowen Fitness, and enlisted her mum to help her with the children.

To prepare for the competition she weight trained seven days a week, ate prepared weighed out food and stuck to lean meats, salads and veggies.

She said she was lucky she had so many wonderful supporters not only who came to watch the competition in Brisbane but supported her during the lead up.

“My family and friends were very proud. My husband and my son were able to come and watch which was really special,” she said.

Ms Wolfenden is having a season off and then plans on competing with the help of Kerry Rowen Fitness again next year.

Ms Rowen also entered the competition and took out the title of Ms Bodybuilder.
