Weekend weather: What’s in store across Garden City

It looks like Toowoomba can expect its first full sunny weekend in weeks, according to the BOM.

THERE will be a very high chance Toowoomba residents will be able to enjoy the outdoors this weekend, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

BOM meteorologist Rosa Hoff said the weather over the weekend should be mostly fine.

"There is a good chance of seeing the sun over the next few days," Ms Hoff said.

"There's still a slight chance for some rain, but you should be able to get out for a picnic."

Strong winds have been blowing through the Garden City this week, and Ms Hoff said it looked like they would be sticking around for the weekend.

"Generally our winds will be coming from a south-easterly direction," she said.

"Over the weekend they'll be between 20-30kmph."

Temperatures will be sitting just below average in the low to mid-20s.

"We're forecasting 25 degrees on Saturday and 26 degrees for Sunday," Ms Hoff said.
