One lucky punter holds a division 1 winning ticket that was sold at a South East Queensland store, but has not claimed their prize.

Australia’s luckiest postcodes for lottery wins revealed

The search is on for the holder of a winning division 1 lotto ticket after the prize has been left unclaimed for several days.

The ticket is part of a syndicate sold by News extra Central City newsagent on Margaret St, Toowoomba sometime in recent weeks.

Store owner Tanya Talbot said she had no idea who won the prize and that the winning ticket was unregistered.

“First thing is knowing that they bought a ticket from us, we sold two division one winners that night from that syndicate,” she said.

“They need to bring their ticket to us so we can see if they have won.”

The Queensland 24-person syndicate held one of the 21 division 1 winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4489 on Saturday 27 July 2024. Each division 1 winning entry scored $952,380.96.

“In addition to division 1, this syndicate won multiple prizes in other divisions” Ms Talbot said.

Each syndicate member won a share worth $44,428.62.

“We are super excited to have been the division 1 selling agency shortly after our sale of the division 1 winner in December 2022,” Ms Talbot said.

“We have had three division 1 winners in the past two years.”
