IT WAS all hands on deck at Toowoomba Grammar School yesterday, in preparation for the school's "telethon-style" music production this evening.

The concert, which is the largest of its kind for the school, aims to provide music students with the chance to showcase their talents while raising money for a good cause.

It will be hosted by the ABC's David Iliffe as a live telethon to raise funds for Protea Place's Welcome Home Project.

The Welcome Home Project exists to furnish and decorate homes for women who have experienced homelessness, disadvantage or violence.

CPC Productions, which streams TV programs and performances such as the Brisbane Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols for major television networks, are producing the concert and it will be available for audiences across the globe.

More than 30 TGS bands will take the stage tonight.

The concert can be viewed from the comfort of home from 6pm at twgs.qld.edu.au.
