Queensland Health has issued a public health alert after a person who tested positive to Covid-19 travelled through Goondiwindi and stopped at a petrol station in the town.
Any people who visited the BP at Goondiwindi on Wednesday October 20, between 11.30am and 12.30pm are now “casual contacts”.

If you are a casual contact, it means you need to:
– Immediately travel by private transport directly to your home or accommodation and quarantine
– Get tested at your earliest opportunity
– Continue to quarantine until you receive a negative result
– Enter your details into the contact tracing form: https://bit.ly/3nqvFez
– Continue to monitor for symptoms, if you become symptomatic get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.
The Goondiwindi region is one of the most vaccinated in Queensland, with more than 77 per cent of the population over 15 fully vaccinated as of Monday, October 18.
