One of the Toowoomba CBD’s top foodie destinations has hit the market, with a local agency listing the popular Walton Stores precinct for sale.

The retail, office and hospitality space between Ruthven and Annand Streets in Toowoomba City is the home of popular eateries like Zambrero, Hello Harry and Junk, along with anchor tenants like Westpac, ANZ and CUA.

Featuring more than a dozen tenancies and distinctive walking areas for customers and patrons, Walton Stores was built in 2016 in the style of Brisbane’s James St Market and Melbourne’s laneway scene.

Colliers International Toowoomba is handling the sale through an expressions of interest campaign until May 27.

Creativity in Toowoomba CBD

Agent Dan Dwan’s listing highlighted the tenancy portfolio and net income of more than $1m a year.

“Supported by a vibrant mix of retail, lifestyle and hospitality businesses, the property boasts a consistently high occupancy across 15 tenancies and offers investors the opportunity to acquire a significant mixed use holding in Australia’s strongest performing regional centre,” the listing said.

“Walton Stores provides an outstanding opportunity to secure a long-term multi-tenanted investment.”

The precinct received another boost late last year when Toowoomba Regional Council opened Carnival Lane, connecting Margaret and Annand Street.
