Authorities said the people who had been on roofs of houses at Grantham have now been rescued by boat. EARLIER Queensland Police Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollchewski said at a press conference;

We have dispatched Rescue 500 the helicopter to assist with that. There are problems with the weather we’re not certain it will be able to fly into that area.
