A man suffered serious chest, shoulder and abdominal injuries after a car he was working on collapsed on top of him.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to a Kearneys Spring home about 7.30pm on Thursday.
They arrived to find the man, aged in his 30s, partially trapped with the car supported by a jack.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said fireys used timber cribbing and wedges to stabilise the car while paramedics treated the man.
He was transported to the Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Paramedics transported a woman to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle crash on High Street and Long Street at 5.48am.
Further west a man was flown to the Dirranbandi Hospital after his vehicle rolled on a bridge near the intersection of the Castlereagh Highway and Bollon-Dirranbandi Road, about 12.43am on Friday.
He suffered a critical head injury.
