One man taken to hospital after alleged wounding at Wilsonton Heights

Police are investigating an incident at Wilsonton Heights where one man was taken to hospital after being shot in the leg.

Local detectives are investigating after a man was shot in the leg at Wilsonton Heights last night.

Police were called to the Tor Street address at 10.30pm Sunday to reports a man had been shot.

The 34-year-old man was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition and has since been transported to Brisbane.

Police declared a crime scene a 11pm and conducted an extensive foot patrol, however they were unable to locate the offender.

Initial investigations suggest the parties were known to each other and it is believed the incident was isolated.

Anyone with information is being encouraged to come forward to police.

Investigations are continuing and there is no further information available at this time.
