Noise alert issued for Oakey residents as army base undertakes training

Oakey residents don’t have anything to worry about if they notice an increase in army flying activity over the next few days.

Oakey residents have been advised C-27J Spartan aircraft will be conducting low-level flying training around the area for the next several days.

Australian Army Aviation Training Centre (based at Oakey) took to Facebook to share the noise alert.

“No 35 Squadron C-27J Spartan will be conducting low-level flying training on (December 8 to 11) around Oakey,” a spokesperson for the base said on Facebook.

“All flying activity is subject to change at short notice.”
