THE Toowoomba CBD's newest parking station has been formally lodged with the council.
Applicant Liam Christopher Betts submitted his plans to turn a previously vacant lot on Neil St in Toowoomba City into a new parking lot.
According to the details submitted to the Toowoomba Regional Council, the new station would comprise of 54 parking lots, two access points from Neil and Silverwood Sts, as well as some landscaping in parts.
The application also included a site layout, vehicle turning diagrams and a stormwater management report.
The report, by Baker Rossow Consulting Engineers, argued the applicant's plan for stormwater met the council's rules around run-off and legal points of discharge.
"Acceptable solutions to the council's desired outcomes for stormwater quantity discharge have been achieved and addressed in this report in conjunction with the accompanying calculations and detailed engineering drawings," it said.
"This development will therefore not cause any actionable nuisance to downstream properties, caused by peak discharges, flood levels, frequency or duration of flooding, flow velocities, water quality, sedimentation and scour effects."
Council officers have yet to respond to the planning application with requests for more information.
Parking has been a major discussion point for users of the CBD in recent years, with complaints around supply.
