A NEW service station and shopping precinct has opened in the heart of Highfields.
Late last month, United Petroleum opened at 67 Highfields Rd, complete with five pumps and an offering of Pie Face and Mrs Fields products.
It is the first time Mrs Fields and Pie Face baked goods have been offered in the Toowoomba region.
United Petroleum purchased the iconic Australian business Pie Face and has been rolling it out to its service stations.
Pie Face was launched in 2003 and stores quickly popped up across the country.
The brand offers quality pastries such as pies and sausage rolls with light French-style pastry.
The service station also has an offering of Mrs Fields cookies, which is an American franchise known for its freshly baked cookies, cakes and brownies.
Within the precinct there is room for five shopping tenancies and a drive-through restaurant.
The tenancies can be used for food outlets or retailers and range from 105sqm to 480sqm.
The precinct is directly across from the town's largest shopping centre, Highfields Village, which includes a Woolworths and McDonald's.
