When Toowoomba can expect the temperature to cool down again

A cold snap is set to hit Toowoomba this week with minimum temperatures slipping into the single digits.

MINIMUM temperatures are expected to drop back to the single digits in Toowoomba this week, bringing cooler mornings.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, temperatures dropped to 8 degrees this morning, with a minimum of 6 degrees predicted tomorrow.

Day time temperatures are forecast to sit around 20 degrees.

BOM meteorologist Kimba Wong said despite the cloud cover hanging around, there wasn't much chance of rain.

"That high cloud is too high in the atmosphere to precipitate. There's really nothing coming out of it," Ms Wong said.

"It's not expecting it to rain for the next few days but on Thursday and Friday we might see some more showers around and even a storm on Friday.

"But it's quite isolated shower and storm activity."
