We’re coming into the final month of autumn, with May often being the time of year it cools right off in the Toowoomba region.
Toowoomba residents have already got a taste of the cooler weather with April bringing the coldest day of the year so far, and with many places around Queensland experiencing its coldest April day on record last week.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology in May 2020 Toowoomba experienced an average month temperature wise and it can be expected to be much the same this year.
The mean maximum temperature was 19.3 degrees and the minimum temperature was 8.9 degrees.
The lowest minimum for the month was three degrees and maximum was 10.8 degrees.
The rainfall total was 12.6mm, which is well below average of 55mm.
However, Toowoomba can expect light rain in the coming days with showers expected tomorrow and Saturday with up to 3mm predicted on each day.
There is also a chance of 1mm on Sunday.
Temperatures will remain moderate for the foreseeable forecast with minimums sitting around 12 degrees each day and maximums around 20 degrees.
