Man hospitalised after snake bite at Toowoomba property

Paramedics had to rush to the scene of a snake bite this weekend.

It’s been a busy weekend for paramedics in the Darling Downs.

Here are some of the incidents they attended.

Snake bite

Paramedics transported a man to hospital on Saturday after he was bitten by a snake.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the incident occurred at Mount Tyson.

“Paramedics transported a stable patient to Toowoomba Hospital after reportedly being bitten by a snake at a private address just prior to 1.30pm,” the spokesperson said.

Single vehicle crash

A man has been taken to hospital after a single vehicle rollover.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the incident occurred near Roma on Sunday morning.

“One male in his late teens was transported to Roma Hospital in a stable condition with spinal precautions and minor injuries following a single-vehicle rollover on Carnavon Highway at 3.13am,” they said.

Motorcycle crash

Paramedics were called to a private property at Boodua just after 7pm on Saturday night after a patient was involved in a motorcycle crash.

“One woman was transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition with a head injury and spinal precautions,” a QAS spokesperson said.
