Foggy and wet conditions contribute to crashes

Emergency crews are currently on the scene of a two vehicle crash south of Toowoomba.

Queensland Ambulance, Police and Fire and Emergency services were called to the incident at 6.45am this morning at the intersection of Toowoomba Karara Road and Balfour Street in Wyreema.

A QAS spokesperson confirmed one person had been assessed on scene and transported to Toowoomba Hospital.

Meanwhile, crews were also called to the scene of a single vehicle accident on the Darling Downs overnight, with one person taken to hospital.

Paramedics were called to the incident at the corner of Short and Campbell Streets in Pittsworth at 8.06pm on Thursday.

It is understood the driver of the vehicle crashed into some rubbish bins and a fence.

The 18-year-old male driver was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition with chest pains.
