Police set to destroy property lost at Carnival of Flowers unless claimed soon

FESTIVAL goers who lost property at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers have only days to claim it before it is destroyed.

Residents and tourists who lost property during the Carnival of Flowers festivities should phone police as soon as possible.

Toowoomba Regional Council staff have handed property that was misplaced at Carnival of Flowers venues to the police.

“Toowoomba Police now have possession of keys, a watch, glasses, sunglasses and other items that we would like to see go to their proper homes,” Sergeant Tony Rehn said.

Unclaimed items will be destroyed in about a month.

If you lost items at the carnival, phone the Toowoomba Property Office on 4631 6423 between 9am and 3pm with a description of the item.
