WHILE TOOWOOMBA is set for a warm, sunny weekend - rain is on the horizon.
Bureau of meteorology forecaster Shane Kennedy said temperatures and conditions would remain stable for the next few days before a trough sweeps through the region.
"The trough will move across the state mid next week," Mr Kennedy said.
"By Thursday, it should bring moisture inland to the Darling Downs and it's likely residents will see some light falls.
"Friday will be the main day for rain next week - there could be up to 15mm depending on the locations of isolated thunderstorms."
Mr Kennedy said residents would also see a rise in temperatures next week.
"It will be a sunny few days and weekend, with reasonably cool overnight temperatures because of the clear conditions," he said.
"It should be warmer mid week, with a high of 20 degrees predicted on Wednesday.
"Cloud cover will start to increase from Monday as the moisture gets pulled inland."
