IN A bid to keep "ahead of the game" with different needs in Toowoomba as coronavirus spreads, City Women has started a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to distribute goods and services.
City Women also created a Facebook group, Toowoomba Support for COVID-19, so members could share growing needs in the community.
City Women CEO Letitia Shelton said it had all started after a phone call with the Domestic Violence Action Centre in Toowoomba.
"DVAC was in need of care packs to get to women, and we talked about if we needed to get women out of homes and into hotels," Ms Shelton said.
"We talked to TRAMS and some of the refugees who have just come to town and are in isolation can't get food, so we've got people able to shop and get food to them.
"I had a big group of young people volunteer to go and do some shopping for us."
The GoFundMe has raised almost $2500 in less than 24 hours.
"We're thankful for people's generosity, it's been wonderful," Ms Shelton said.
