Gore Highway crash: Person removed from vehicle, three taken to hospital in two-vehicle crash south of Toowoomba
One person has been cut out of a vehicle and three taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash.
Emergency services have removed someone from a vehicle after two cars collided on the Gore Highway, south of Toowoomba.
An occupant was found trapped in a car when fire crews arrived on the scene of a two-vehicle crash near Harelmar Rd about 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said crews used hydraulic rescue gear to cut the person from the car, and they were safely out of the vehicle just after 2.30pm.
Five ambulance crews assessed three patients on scene, including the person who was freed from the vehicle.
They were all transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition, with no significant recorded injuries.
The highway was blocked off in both directions.
There is a diversion in place for southbound traffic but northbound traffic will be congested until the road can be cleared, according to a Queensland Police spokesperson.
