FUN FOR HIRE: Toowoomba business offers ticket to adventure

Keen to showcase the beauty of Toowoomba and its surrounds a new business is offering you the chance to hire your ticket to adventure and fun.

LLOYD and Nicole Thompson love Toowoomba, and they want the Garden City’s other residents to experience the same joy.

After watching residents “leave” Toowoomba to explore other cities, the couple decided to start Pedal Skate Paddle and Roll – a eco-friendly hire company.

“We were constantly watching people escape Toowoomba and wondered why,” PSPR co-owner Nicole Thompson said.

“Toowoomba and its surrounds are beautiful, and we wanted to do something that completes the work Toowoomba Regional Council is doing and encourages people to stay in and explore the region.”

PSPR is a mobile hire company that provides bikes, rollerskates, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, inline skate and scooters.

“We’ve been registered for two years now, but Covid presented a few hurdles in the beginning,” Mrs Thompson said.

“The interest is growing now though, and we’re hoping to expand our range eventually.

“Right now though our fortnightly pop-up skate nights at Gowrie Hall are very popular.

“It’s a great night for all the family to enjoy.”
