IT WAS a drizzly weekend in Toowoomba, with 8mm of rain falling from Friday to Sunday morning.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Warwick received 4mm overnight on Saturday, while Dalby received 21mm.

BOM meteorologist Shane Kennedy said the weather would start to clear up throughout the week.

"The rain is due to an inland trough moving across the southeast (yesterday)," Mr Kennedy said.

"Once it pushes off shore tonight it should be the end to the rainfall.

"We could see some light falls for the next few days, but only likely to be 1mm or less.

"Then clearing up for the rest of the week, cooling down again with frost likely."

Mr Kennedy said today was likely to be coldest day of the week.

"There will be quite a lot of cloud around with a maximum temperature of 14 degrees," he said.

"But the apparent temperature isn't likely to get above 10.

"It should be a lot warmer in the afternoons for the rest of the week sitting around 18-19 degrees."

Mr Kennedy said minimums would sit at 6-7 degrees.
