Four people have been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle highway crash outside Toowoomba on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident on the Warrego Highway at Oakey just after 5.30am, with six people assessed by paramedics.

Four people were taken stable to Toowoomba Hospital, while another two declined transportation.
