THE Glennie School formal was the cherry on top of a fantastic year for the Year 12 cohort. Glammed up and looking wonderful, the students took to the event's red carpet at the Picnic Point Function Centre last Thursday.
Former Head of Junior Years, Steve Warren, greeted students and their dashing partners as they arrived in vehicles of all makes and models.
Family, friends and loved ones lined the pathway into the function centre, anxiously awaiting the opportunity to present floral gifts, offer words of support and to grab last-minute selfies.
Formal guests enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and entertainment by the Glennie woodwind and string quartet on the picturesque terrace before progressing inside for official proceedings.
Glennie teacher Crystal Hede delivered a heartwarming message to the seniors, before school captains Ekene Aghanwa and Hope Loveday responded with a touching message to the school.
After the cutting of the cake, guests danced the night away, enjoying the beautiful view with their closest friends.
"It was a wonderful evening to reflect and celebrate the girls' schooling years at Glennie and to enjoy their last night together as a cohort," Head of Donaldson House Susan Rollason said.
Having finished school last week, the students are now preparing for the next step in their adventures.
