Thousands of revellers will flood into Queens Park at the weekend for the Festival of Food and Wine as Toowoomba’s biggest event on the calendar officially begins for 2024.
This year’s event is being held at the start of the Carnival of Flowers, ensuring the month-long celebration starts with a bang.
Bullhorn, Thirsty Merc and James Reyne will headline on Saturday, followed by Yacht Rock Revival, Kate Ceberano and Pete Murray on Sunday.
But they are not only acts on over the weekend with live music starting early each day.
As the party’s name suggests, food will feature heavily through the weekend with live cooking demonstrations from colourful celebrity chef Anna Polyviou on 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm both days.
Join local barbecue and smokehouse specialists as they cook up a selection of barbecue delights. Secure your spot at the tasting room to learn and taste more at 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm both days.
There will also be a range of tastings on offer from the Nuova Scola and Jester Hill Wineries, artisanal Bunya Cheese cheesemakers, local spirit distillers and craft beer brewers.
Sessions will be held through both days.
The organisers have provided something for the children, with a Cubby House playgroup, filled with fun activities.
Tickets will be available from the gate, and all children under 18 must be supervised at all times.
