Fears for two boys with critical head injuries after crash kills mum, baby
A mother and infant have been killed and two boys have suffered critical head injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck.

A woman, 35, and an infant have tragically died after the Toyota Kluger they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck on the Gore Highway west of Millmerran.
A toddler-aged boy and an older boy have also suffered life-threatening head injuries.
Both have been flown to the Queensland Childrens Hospital in critical conditions.
Their father, a 39-year-old man, was trapped in the wreck and has since been removed.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man was transported by road to the Toowoomba Hospital.
He has suffered serious leg, pelvic and abdominal injuries but is in a stable condition.
The 38-year-old male truck driver was also transported to the Toowoomba Hospital with a wrist injury.
Emergency Services were called to the crash about 7.20am on Thursday after the vehicles collided at Captains Mountain.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the father after he was pinned inside the SUV.
They also gained entry to the rear of the vehicle and worked with paramedics to remove and treat the injured children.
A LifeFlight aeromedical crew and a Rescue 500 crew transported the boys to hospital.
The Gore Highway was closed until 3pm, between Nine Mile Road and Millmerran Woods Drive, as Toowoomba Regional Council staff and QFES crews cleared debris.
A diversion was in place along Moffatt Road towards Ironbark Drive and Ayres Rock Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
