It's that time of year kids love; trick-or-treating, costumes and carved pumpkins.
This weekend, the Toowoomba library will undergo a spooky transformation for its Halloween Family Fun Day.
Running from noon - 6pm outside the library on Saturday, the event includes markets, pumpkin carving, trick or treat shows and a scavenger hunt.
"My kids have been really excited about Halloween over the past few years and we've been trying to find something to do locally with them," market stall co-ordinator Alex Stalling said.
"I'm really excited that this event will bring it all to one spot."
The event is the first of its kind for the library, and will be run in conjunction with the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation's zombie walk.
Tomorrow's edition of The Chronicle will include a pumpkin poster, which residents can hang on their letter boxes and doors to signal their home as a trick or treat spot.
