THE Empire Theatre is preparing reopen its doors next month with a number of weekly performances by local artists.
Project 62 and Beamish Brothers will be the first act to take the stage on July 11, but attendance numbers will be capped at 100 people due to ongoing restrictions.
"We can say that the Empire strikes back," Empire Theatre general manager Kerry Saul said.
"These events are designed to give the public something to look forward to but also to assess what our patron's desire is.
"We'll allocate the seating, which will have social distancing between individuals or groups booked together."
The move has been made possible by the Queensland Government and the Theatre's foundation.
Tickets are $25 for the first four shows and are available at www.empiretheatre.com.au starting from tomorrow.
The box office will also be operating from 9am-1pm, Monday to Wednesday and phone bookings are also available.
The shows are as follows:
July 11 - Project 62 and Beamish Brothers (Music performance).
July 17- Camerata (Queensland's premier chamber orchestra).
July 25- Cool Nights Big Band (Local band).
Aug 1- Lovesick (Musical theatre performance by local artists Shannon Gralow and Justin Tamblyn).
