EMERGENCY services spent hours cleaning up after a truck carrying cyanide bricks rolled on the Leichhardt Hwy last night.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said three urban appliances, one speciality unit and one senior officer attended the crash after it was called in at 6.41pm.

The incident occurred near the highway’s intersection with Widgewa Rd, at Callingunee, about 30km south of Moonie.

Queensland Ambulance Service officers assessed one patient, but they did not require transport to hospital.

One of the containers came off the truck, the QFES spokeswoman said, but it did not rupture.

Trailers had to be righted by a crane.

The road was reopened at 11.59pm and the last of the QFES appliances left shortly after that.
