More than 66 per cent of the Toowoomba population over the age of 15 has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
As deadlines for borders opening loom closer, a vaccination bus will make its way around the region in a bid to vaccinate as many Darling Downs residents as possible before Delta floods through Queensland.
The Bush VaxBus, run by the Darling Downs and West Moreton Primary Health Network, will be hosting a roving vaccine clinic across the region, with Pfizer on offer to everyone over the age of 12.
This is an initiative to improve vaccine access to remote and rural communities, marginalised and vulnerable individuals and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the region.
The bus will be on the road for the next two weeks from Monday, November 1 to Saturday, November 13 stopping in small towns along the way, providing local access to the vaccine.
No appointments are needed.
