Cloudy, wet weather to continue over coming days

CLOUDY and wet weather is set to continue across the Toowoomba and Darling Downs region in the coming days. HERE’S HOW MUCH RAIN WE’RE EXPECTING.

CLOUDY and wet weather is set to continue across the Toowoomba and Darling Downs region in the coming days.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology it'll be partly cloudy today, with a slight (30 per cent) chance of a shower over the Far Eastern parts of the Darling Downs region and Granite

Belt in the morning and afternoon.

The mercury will reach a minimum of 10 degrees in Toowoomba and a maximum of 16, while in Stanthorpe it will reach a low of 5 and a high of 15.

There is a chance of a thunderstorm in the far southwest of the Darling Downs region in the afternoon and evening.

On Saturday it will be cloudy with a medium (60 per cent) chance of showers and patchy rain in the southwest and a slight (30 per cent) chance of a shower elsewhere, while on Sunday there is a high (80 per cent) chance of showers and rain, most likely in the afternoon and evening.

The heaviest falls will be on Monday, with the bureau predicting very high (90 per cent) chance of showers and rain areas over the Granite Belt, with a medium (50 per cent) chance elsewhere.

Toowoomba recorded just 0.2mm of rain as of 6.30pm last night.

All other major weather observation stations in the area (Applethore, Oakey, Warwick, Wellcamp Airport), recorded 0mm of rain.

Toowoomba temperatures aren't predicted to drop below a low of 8 degrees on Saturday.
