MOTORISTS have been urged to pay more attention to road conditions after a series of life-threatening crashes on our roads.

A man in his 50s was flown to the Toowoomba Hospital in a serious condition after he rolled his truck on the Moffatt Reserve Rd at noon yesterday.

He suffered chest injuries and an arm laceration.

Millmerran Police Senior Sergeant Steven Ryan said the man was lucky to be alive.

“He was wearing a seat belt and that was good – without it he could have been in a lot of trouble,” Sgt Ryan said.

“The truck had flipped.”

The crash marked the end of a busy 24-hour period for emergency services.

About 8.30pm on Sunday a tanker carrying 30,000 litres of water rolled at the Cunningham Highway and New England Highway intersection, south of Toowoomba.
