WITH many confined to their homes, Brumby's Wyalla owner Denise Statham has started a free bread delivery service to keep residents stocked up.
"It's not about losing customers, it's about people going without," Ms Statham said of the new service.
"A lot of our older clients have been locked down, so we decided to do the free delivery service to help them out.
"If they can order the day before by phone we can deliver it the next morning."
Ms Statham said the business had stocked up on flour and had still had a steady stream of customers at the store.
"Business is still good, although the weekends have died down - it's the uncertainty I think," she said.
"My customers have been great here and we haven't seen much panic buying.
"I've told them each day that we have plenty of flour - we do a few extra loaves but we don't want to overload our staff."
Ms Statham said stores in Wyalla plaza had been working together to maintain business.
"We want this shopping centre to stay open, so we need to band together and help each other," she said.
"We're trying to do everything right because we want to keep everyone on board, we don't want anyone losing their jobs."
Having owned the business for 12 years, she said she had never seen a similar situation.
"We saw panic buying after the floods in 2011, but this is the scariest I have seen it," she said,
"I try not to think about it and just keeping going."
She thanked her customers for abiding by the new restrictions while instore.
