A motorcyclist has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in one of several serious crashes across Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and Southern Downs this weekend.

Motorcyclist in serious condition

An older motorcyclist suffered “potentially-life threatening” injuries in a crash south of Toowoomba early on Saturday.

The crash occurred on Wyreema-Cambooya Rd at Cambooya just before 10am, with ambulance crews rushing to attend.

The man in his 70s was treated for arm, shoulder and chest injuries and taken to Toowoomba Hospital.

Child taken to hospital following Toowoomba incident

A child was among those injured in a two-vehicle crash in East Toowoomba on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision on the corner of Mackenzie and Arthur Sts about 3.40pm.

Paramedics assessed three people, with a woman (back pain) and a child (arm injury) taken to St Vincent’s Private Hospital in stable conditions.

A male teenager declined a trip to hospital.

Since 2003, the intersection in question has been the site of a dozen crashes, resulting in eight hospitalisations and injuries.

Rollover injures man on private property

A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital after his vehicle rolled on Friday.

The incident was reported about 3.20pm on a private property near Ballondool Rd at Hebel in the Balonne shire.

The man in his 40s suffered a minor head injury and was taken to Dirranbandi Hospital in a stable condition.

Two injured in Southern Downs crash

A crash in the Southern Downs region on Saturday morning left two people in hospital.

Paramedics were alerted to the incident on Amosfield Rd in Stanthorpe just before 8.30am.

The people, one in their 20s and another in their 30s, were rushed to Stanthorpe Hospital in a stable condition.

Patients treated for smoke inhalation from microwave

Two people have been taken to hospital after a fire that started from a kitchen appliance on Saturday night.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene at a private property in South Toowoomba about 11pm.

It is understood the appliance in question was a microwave.

The two adults were taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
