A TOOWOOMBA coffee shop has undergone a transformation with change of ownership, name and menu.
Red Bench, at 62 Margaret St, is now operating under the name of Sage and Butler.
The cafe was bought by Sam Scutt six months ago and in a short period of time she has made big changes to the popular coffee spot.
Mrs Scutt said she always wanted to own her own cafe and she couldn't go past this opportunity.
"The name change is my way of putting my own touch on it. Sage is for the herb but Butler was my grandma's maiden name and she inspired my love of cooking," she said.
"I am loving it so far, we have other businesses so it's a bit of a juggling act but it's great."
Mrs Scutt has just put her baristas through more training to ensure the cafe offers the best coffee.
The menu has also undergone changes with an expansion of the breakfast and lunch menu.
It offers a range of muffins, croissants, doughnuts, scrolls and cakes which are all home-made quality goods.
Lunch customers can order gourmet scrolls, wraps, Turkish bread sandwiches, salads, soups and lasagne.
"We changed up the menu and are making sure we offer great quality, tasty food," Mrs Scutt said.
"I've got a really great team here and I've honed in about how important customer service is because we want people to walk out feeling good."
Sage and Butler is open from 6.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 6.30am - 2.30pm on Saturday.
