THREE women charged with being involved in a prostitution ring in Toowoomba fronted the city's Magistrates Court yesterday.
The Chinese nationals each pleaded guilty through a Mandarin interpreter to knowingly participating in prostitution.
Aixiang Lee, 53, didn't offer sexual services herself but was fined $6672 for running the business, police prosecutor Sergeant Natalie Bugden said.
She was fined a further $1000 by Magistrate Graham Lee who ordered the conviction not be recorded.
The court heard the women had set up a base at the Raceview Motor Inn in July.
Yan Liu, 48, who admitted to being a sex worker, was fined $2000, conviction not recorded, for her involvement.
Shibi Li, 56, was fined $1500 with no conviction recorded and ordered to forfeit $755 cash and a mobile phone used in the operation.
The court heard Li had offered sexual services along with a massage at $130 for 30 minutes, $200 for an hour, with $50 extra if a condom wasn't used.
