POLICE need help to locate a silver Jeep stolen from a CBD carpark some time between late December and last week.

The 2006 Jeep Commander was parked on Donation Lane between December 28 and January 3, and had been left unlocked with the keys stored on the upturned sun-visor.

Toowoomba police said the vehicle had been undergoing a mechanical inspection at a mechanic when it was stolen, and the car could only be "operated in limp mode".
