The Tasmania Devils will this month open a new office in the heart of Hobart, with the team promising that the space will eventually include a retail component catering to footy fanatics on the hunt for club merchandise.
The Devils are due to enter the AFL in 2028, while the club’s AFLW side could debut even earlier.
But the organisation isn’t letting that stop it from establishing a solid footprint in the state capital sooner rather than later, preparing to officially unveil the new office at 144 Collins St by the end of July.
It will boast space for the Devils’ expanding administrative staff, as well as a service area where club members can speak to representatives of the team face-to-face.
The retail offering will include a small selection of Devils merchandise but is not expected to be rolled out until later in the year.
Devils general manager of marketing, public affairs and social impact Kath McCann said the office would serve as an “interim site” for the team while work is undertaken to progress the proposed AFL high performance centre at Kingston.
“It is incredibly exciting for the club to be moving into new office space – the expansion in our office requirements is a direct reflection of the build of the club as we move towards 2028,” she said.
“This space will not only accommodate our growing team, but will provide us with an opportunity to engage with our members face-to-face.”
Ms McCann said the Devils would continue to have a presence at Bellerive’s Ninja Stadium.
