The Derwent Valley Autumn Festival is an annual family gathering for Lisa Sykes, her sisters and their children.
On Sunday the families met at the festival and spent the day looking through the various stalls and eateries with the children particularly interested in the gemstones and crystals on display.
“It’s a really nice place to go and see people you know and friends and family,” the Lachlan resident said.
She said the family liked to support the festival every year.

“The weather was beautiful but then it turned pretty sour when we were walking to the car,” Mrs Sykes said.
The Derwent Valley Autumn Festival has been hosted by the Derwent Valley Rotary Club for the past five years.
President Kylie Farrell said this was the first time it had rained on the day of the festival, but people still came out for the music and the local producers.
“We punch above our weight up here,” Ms Farrell said
She said before the rain at around 1.15pm numbers were up on last year, and after the rain a lot of people stayed around until closing at 3:30pm.
She said with the help of their sponsors Rotary continues to make the festival free entry with free activities for the kids so that it is a low cost day of entertainment for the family.
