After making its debut last year, Hobart music festival HAYDAYS has been cancelled with the organisers turning their focus back to the long-running Party in the Paddock.
Event organisers Vibestown posted the announcement to social media on Wednesday morning after just one iteration of the festival.
They said while HAYDAYS wouldn’t be going ahead this year, they were excited to make Party in the Paddock at Carrick “bigger and better than ever”.
“After careful thought, we’ve decided to shift our full attention back to Party in the Paddock for this summer,” Event organisers Vibestown posted to Instagram on Wednesday
HAYDAYS was a new endeavour for the Tasmanian events company, with the two-day non-camping music festival in Cornelian Bay debuting in December 2023.
Electro-pop sensation PNAU and indie-rock and dance-punk group Foals headlined the inaugural event.
Last year, its festival director Ryan Limb said it hoped to fill the gap Falls Festival left in the industry to “bring back the good times”.
