A Latrobe woman couldn’t comprehend her win after winning nearly half a million dollars last week.
The winning entry was unregistered which meant officials from The Lott had no way of contacting the ticket holder and had to wait for winner to check her ticket and come forward.
The woman said she discovered the $401,209.07 win the night of the draw, but had taken a few days to “ponder”.
“At first, I just felt sick. I couldn’t comprehend what had happened,” she said.
The woman still had “no idea” what she would do with her prize money.
The winning entry was purchased from Latrobe Newsagency on the North West Coast.
Latrobe Newsagency manager Jags Kumar said he was stoked to hear his team had sold a division one winning entry to a local couple.
He said it was the first time selling a division one winning entry since taking over ownership of the outlet about two and a half years ago.
“It’s such great news! We’re really happy to have sold a major winning entry to a local husband and wife,” he said.
